Ruthven

The day started with promise as an AMWO was heard "peenting" under the almost full moon when I arrived. However the day turned bright and sunny with a moderate wind which pretty much made the nets ineffective. A few new migrants had arrived though with a pair of GREG being observed flying north following the river and two PBGR found in the river itself. Several BGGN were heard wheezing in the valley behind the station, more prominently after the nets were closed.

Banded 17: AMGO 3, RCKI 5, SCJU 2, FISP, CHSP 3, BHCO, BRTH, MODO
Retrapped 6: AMGO, NOCA, DOWO, SCJU, SOSP, BCCH

48 species on the day.

Selkirk

A nice sunny day but as offen happens with nice weather not that many passerines in the banding area. A bit of variety but no numbers.

Banded: GCKI 2, RCKI 2, HETH 2, CHSP 1, FISP 1, SWSP 1, SCJU 2, RWBL 1 = 12
